Welcome to Sumdog's maths contests!

Sumdog’s free online maths contests are a fun way to motivate your pupils as they compete against other classes and schools, locally or nationally. Scores are based on accuracy, and questions adapt to each pupil’s level – so everyone has a fair chance.

Over 48,000 classes take part every year, answering over 3.5 billion questions! It’s a great opportunity for pupils to practice maths, have fun and boost their confidence.

Are you part of a Multi-Academy Trust?

We are offering MATs with a minimum of five schools, the opportunity to host an online maths contest, open to just the schools in your trust. This is a great way of bringing together children from across schools in your trust, something which seems more important now than ever before.

We’re happy to set up a bespoke contest for your MAT free of charge and you can continue to use the whole of Sumdog maths and spelling for free once the contest is over.

How it works

Whether they’re learning in school or at home, your pupils can play alongside their classmates using a smartphone, tablet or computer.

Free to enter

It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up and you can continue using Sumdog for free even when the contest has ended!

Fair and adaptive

Sumdog’s questions are based on accuracy and are tailored to each pupil’s level – so everyone has a fair chance of winning.

Fun and engaging

Pupils simply answer maths questions while playing Sumdog’s super fun online activities – they can even do it as homework.

You can win prizes, as well as certificates of achievement for your pupils.
