What groups can be used for

Groups can be used to organise pupils in your class/school roster into smaller sets.

Example scenarios of how to use groups:

You teach a Year 2 class made up of three different ability groups. Create a class for your pupils. Then create a further three groups for your three ability groups.

Groups compared with classes

Both classes and groups allow you to use these functions for pupils within them:

  • View dashboard data
  • Create and restrict activities
  • Set Assessments
  • Set Challenges and Competitions
  • View the diagnostic test scores
  • View reports
  • Open and close the house

However, there are some differences:
