How to add children to your family account
This guide will explain how to add your children to your Sumdog family account. This process is different depending on whether your child already has a Sumdog account or not.
You can include a maximum of 3 children as part of a family account. A child account may only belong to one family. An existing student account from your child’s school may be linked to a family account.

How to add your child to your family if they do not already have a Sumdog account
These instructions will explain how to set up an account for your child so that you can add them to your family account.
Children cannot create their own account so you must have a parent account to create one for them. Click here for instructions on how to create a parent account. Once you add your child to your family account you will be able to set them work and view their progress.

Click ‘Settings’ at the top of your parent dashboard

Click ‘EDIT’ in the ‘Children’ box

If you have not added any children to your account skip to step 4.
If you are adding another child to your account, click ‘Add child’

Select ‘CREATE A LOGIN FOR MY CHILD.’
Fill in the name of your child. Only the initial of their first name and last name will appear when they are playing games on Sumdog in order to maintain privacy. If you do not want to key in their full name, you can use initials or a nickname.
Select your child’s date of birth. This is an important element of assessment used for the diagnostic test, and is kept secure and private at all times

Click ‘CREATE LOGIN’ to create the account for your child

If you would like to create more logins, click ‘ADD ANOTHER CHILD’ and repeat steps 5 and 6.
When you have added all of your children, click ‘FINISH SETUP’

View the login details for your children. Ensure you have selected ‘Overview’ on the parent dashboard.
You will see a list of the children in your family on the left. Click the downward facing arrow to reveal the login details for your child’s account.
Click ‘LOG IN’ to log in to your child’s account
How to add your child to your family account if they already have a Sumdog account at school
These instructions explain how to add your child to your family account account if they already have a Sumdog account at school. It is important to add their school account to your family so that their progress is not lost.
You may need to contact your child’s school for their login details if your child does not have them. Once you add your child to your family account you will be able to set them work and view their progress. Click here for more information on family reports.

Click ‘Settings’ at the top of your parent dashboard

Click ‘EDIT’ in the ‘Children’ box

If you have not added any children to your account skip to step 4.
If you are adding another child to your account, click ‘Add child’

Click ‘MY CHILD ALREADY HAS AN LOGIN’

Input your child’s login details. Your child may know these or you may need to ask your child’s school to provide you with the details.
Depending on settings applied on the school account, you may need to input a school code. This code will need to be provided by a teacher from your child’s school

Note: If you are presented with an error message that the username, password, or school code are incorrect, please speak to your child’s teacher. It may be the case they have changed the login details, or that the details they provided you were out of date. Due to data security, we are not able to provide login details for users to any third-party.
Click ‘CONNECT LOGIN’

If you would like to add another child to your family account click ‘ADD ANOTHER CHILD’ and follow steps 4-6.
When you have added all of your children, click ‘FINISH SETUP’

Choose your Sumdog plan by clicking ‘CHOOSE PREMIUM’ or ‘CHOOSE BASIC’.

If you already have a family subscription, click ‘CHOOSE BASIC’ and your subscription will remain intact

View the login details for your children. Ensure you have selected ‘Overview’ on the parent dashboard. You will see a list of the children in your family on the left. Click the downward facing arrow to reveal the login details for your child’s account.
Click ‘LOG IN’ to log in to your child’s account
