Setting up through the app on an iPad/iPhone
This page will show you how you can register for your parent account, set up the family subscription and add your child to the family through the Sumdog app on your Apple device. You can also save your child’s login details on the device for easy access.
Setting up the account
These steps will show you how you can create your parent account, set up the subscription payment and add your child to the family.

Open the Sumdog app on your device and click ‘SIGN UP’.
Note: If you have not yet downloaded the Sumdog app you can do so by going to the iTunes store on your device and search for sumdog.

Click on ‘Parent’

Key in your details and set your account password.
Tick the boxes to indicate that you have read our ‘terms of use’ and ‘privacy policy.
Click ‘Create account’

Note: For this step you will need to leave the app and open your email folder.
You will now be sent an email to verify your account.
Click on the link in the email to confirm and validate your account.
Alternatively, you can copy and paste the web address into your browser

Return to the app and click ‘I have confirmed my email!’

If this is your first time registering for a parent account you can start a 1 week trial.
Click ‘Start trial’
After the trial period, your account will be billed monthly for the subscription. You will be able to view your receipt through your iTunes account which is managed by Apple.
You will be prompted to confirm your payment set up through your iTunes account. You will only be charged once the trial period has ended.
You will be able to cancel the subscription anytime through your iTunes account. You should refer to Apple support on how to do this.
Once the payment is conformed click ‘Next’.
You can now add or create accounts for your children.
If your child has an account from their school click on ‘Link an existing account’ and go to Step 10A.
If you are creating a new account for your child click ‘Create a new account’ and go to Step 10B.
Key in your child’s login details that they use to log into their account from school.
If you do not know the login details you would need to get them from your child’s school/teacher.
Click ‘Connect login’.
Key in your child’s name and date of birth.
Click ‘Create login’.

Click the ‘+’ sign if you want to create/add another account and repeat Step 9 onwards.
Click ‘Done’ to complete the process.
Saving your child's login
These steps will show you how you can save your child’s login details on your device once you have set up their accounts.

Once you have completed the setup sets (Setting up the account) you will have the option to save your child’s login on the device.
Click ‘Save all login on this device.

The logins for the child or children that you have added will now be saved on the device.
To login, your child will just need to click on their name.
