How to edit your students’ login details

This guide will explain how to change students’ usernames/passwords/school code.

How to edit a student’s username and password

These instructions explain how to change the username and/or password for a student. We advise all students are given a unique password and username in the interest of data security.

Step 1

Click ‘Settings’ on your teacher dashboard.

Click ‘MANAGE’ in the ‘Manage students’ box.

Locate the class and click on the blue arrow next to the class name to reveal the names of all the students in that class.

Click on the name of the student you would like to edit.

Click ‘Edit’ to edit the student’s login details on this page.

Click ‘Save’ to confirm all changes.

Ensure that you notify the student that you have changed their username/password.

How to edit multiple students’ usernames and passwords

There are two options for editing the usernames and/or passwords for multiple students:

  • You can upload the students’ new login details via a spreadsheet, following the guide here.
  • The other option is to key in the students’ new username and/or passwords manually. The instructions below explain how to do this.

We advise all students are given a unique password and username in the interest of data security.

Step 1

Click ‘Settings’ on your teacher dashboard.

Click ‘MANAGE’ in the ‘Manage students’ box.

On the top right click, ‘LOGIN DETAILS’.

*Optional* If you would like to view/print the login details for students who are not assigned to your own class, use the ‘Student filter’ on the top left. Simply untick ‘Only my students’ to display all classes linked to the school account.

Tick the classes you would like to view.

If you only want to view a select number of students within the class, click on the blue arrow next to the class name and tick the required students. Click ‘Next’.

Step 6

Click ‘Edit’ to key in new usernames and/or passwords for the students.

No students within the same school can have the same username. If another student in the school is using the chosen username an error message will appear and you will need to choose another username for your student.

If you are not able to edit a student’s username, it may be because your school has not enabled custom usernames.

Click ‘Done’ once you have finished editing.
