How to change your teacher account details

This guide will show you how to change your account details including email/password/communication preferences.

How to change your password

These instructions will explain how to change your password if you remember your existing password.

You can find instructions further down this page on how to change your password if you have forgotten it.

Step 1

Select ‘Settings’ from the top of the teacher dashboard.

Step 2

Make sure you have selected ‘School settings’.

Click ‘EDIT’ in the ‘My details box’.

At the top of your profile page click on ‘Change password’.

For verification, key in your current password and then the new password you would like to use.

Click ‘Save’ on the bottom right of the page to confirm.

How to change your password if you have forgotten it

If you have forgotten your password you will be able to request for a password reset here.

Enter the email address you signed up with. Sumdog will send you an email containing a link which you should click to reset your password. If you get a message that the link has expired, you can request a password reset again.

Sometimes due to your email account settings, the email might be blocked and sent to your spam/junk mail folder. If you are not able to locate the email or link, email us at support@sumdog.com and we will be able to help.

If you don’t have access to your email address, unfortunately, we won’t be able to change your password as we are not able to confirm that it is your account. In this case you should set up a new account. You can find more information on how to set up a new account here.

How to change the email or username associated with your account

Step 1

Select ‘Settings’ from the top of the teacher dashboard.

Step 2

Make sure you have selected ‘School settings’.

Click ‘EDIT’ in the ‘My details box’.

At the top right of your profile page click ‘Edit’.

Step 4

You can now change your email address/username by typing them into the boxes.

If you have updated your email address we will send you a confirmation email, containing a link for you to click to confirm the new email address.

If you have changed your email address because you have moved school, you can find more information on how to move your account to a new school here.

Step 5

Click ‘Save’ at the bottom right of the page to confirm your changes.

How to change your communication preferences

Step 1

Select ‘Settings’ from the top of the teacher dashboard.

Step 2

Make sure you have selected ‘School settings’.

Click ‘EDIT’ in the ‘My details box’.

At the top right of your profile page click ‘Edit’.

You can now change your communication preferences by ticking or unticking the types of emails you would like to receive.

Click ‘Save’ at the bottom right of the page to confirm your changes.
